Trump support erupts; 14-point swing provides 10-point advantage

Voters over the past month have swung behind former President Donald Trump, wiping out President Joe Biden’s 4-point lead to put the Republican on top by double digits.

In the latest Rasmussen Reports poll shared with Secrets, Trump now leads Biden by 10 points, 48%-38%.

The survey also showed good support for third-party candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. In a three-way battle, Kennedy would get 16%, up from 12% a month ago.

Still, he would lose to Trump, but in a closer race with the former president at 40% and Biden at 32%.

Trump’s surge revealed Biden’s continued struggle with likely voters, especially independents and younger voters. He is now losing to Trump with younger voters and women. Among independents, Trump is beating Biden 53%-30%.

While Rasmussen is sometimes mistakenly called a Republican pollster, the outfit gives extra weight to Democrats. For this poll, 36% surveyed were Democrats, 33% Republicans, and 31% “other.”
