Democrat mocks Trump’s merchandise and says ‘Ivana Trump’s tombstone’ next

Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) made fun of former President Donald Trump’s fundraising efforts, suggesting that his late wife’s tombstone could be next on the market.

Moskowitz reacted to Trump selling parts of the suit he wore for his mug shot taken by Fulton County in an interview on Thursday. Trump is facing charges in Georgia of election interference.

“I expect him to start selling Ivana Trump’s tombstone. You’ll be able to write, you know, a little signature on her tombstone for $10,000,” Moskowitz said in response to the news.

Ivana Trump died in 2022 as a result of blunt force injuries to her torso from a fall at her apartment, according to the New York City Chief Medical Examiner’s Office. She was former President Donald Trump’s first wife, and he was her second husband. Her body was buried at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

Moskowitz sarcastically credited Trump for being the “best QVC blender salesman” and drawing people in.

“Someone right now is going, ‘Honey, get the Apple Pay. I got to get the lapel,’” Moskowitz said. “The same person complaining about the economy is saying, ‘Hey, it’s a tough economy. However, I’m going to spend the $2,000 to buy the lapel.’”

The former president is also selling nonfungible tokens of his mug shot, which has nearly become a second campaign logo during his bid for the 2024 Republican nomination. As a nod to his campaign, Trump will only sell 2,024 trading cards with every piece of his suit worn in the photo.

Trump has maintained a massive lead in the polls for the GOP presidential nomination despite the various indictments against him outside of Fulton County, from mishandling classified documents to subverting the 2020 presidential election. He has pleaded not guilty to all 91 felony charges against him.
