Trump-Biden rematch mocked as ‘demented’ vs. ‘dementia’ by former White House official

Former Trump White House spokesman Anthony Scaramucci said the likely 2024 presidential election matchup between former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden is a choice between “demented” and “dementia.”
Scaramucci was discussing the potential for former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley to be Trump’s running mate if he is the Republican nominee, which led Newsmax host Eric Bolling to say he would take Trump in a “dinner bet” over Biden, joking about the age of both presidential candidates.
“You’re choosing demented over dementia, so I don’t know. I probably would go with dementia over demented, but that’s fine,” Scaramucci said on Newsmax’s Eric Bolling The Balance on Wednesday. “Listen, you know [Trump is] nuts. I know he’s nuts, but your viewers love him.”
Trump, 77, and Biden, 81, are the two oldest presidential candidates in U.S. history and appear on track for a rematch in November, even as concerns about their advanced ages continue to persist. Biden and Trump have had various flubs in speeches and events in recent years.
Earlier in the segment, Scaracmucci had said that Haley is “not a bad choice” for a running mate for Trump if he wins the GOP nomination, citing how powerful incumbency can be.

“I don’t advise President Trump anymore, but if I did, she’s a good pick for him because she fills a lot of slots that he needs,” Scaracmucci said.
Scaracmucci infamously served in the Trump White House as communications director for a very brief time in 2017, being ousted 10 days after he was appointed.
