Donald Trump Jr. goes after Hunter Biden’s manliness during Iowa campaign stop for father

URBANDALE, Iowa — Donald Trump Jr. knocked Hunter Biden‘s manliness on Thursday after  President Joe Biden‘s son continued to dodge a subpoena for a closed-door deposition before Congress.

“I’m the one that did 50 hours of testimony before Congress,” Trump Jr. said Thursday in Urbandale while campaigning in Iowa for his father, former President Donald Trump. “I went because I’m a man.”

The comments from Trump Jr., who testified before lawmakers regarding allegations of foreign election interference and the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol, on Hunter Biden come after President Joe Biden‘s son watched a House Oversight Committee hearing this week, during which the panel was considering holding him in contempt.

Trump Jr. also threw political firebombs at his father’s opponents, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, ahead of next week’s Iowa caucuses, the 2024 Republican primary’s opening nominating contest.

Trump Jr. criticized DeSantis for his empty scrutiny of federal government “weaponization,” particularly concerning the Justice Department as his father appeared in a New York state court earlier Thursday for his civil fraud trial’s closing arguments. Trump was also in a federal appeals court this week with respect to special counsel Jack Smith‘s election interference case, contending he has presidential immunity.

With Haley, Trump Jr. reiterated former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie‘s prediction she is poised to be “smoked,” describing her as a “fake conservative” and comparing her to 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

“Nikki Haley was wonderful on the board of Boeing,” he said. “How is Boeing doing these days? Doors are falling off planes midflight because that same consultant class that doesn’t actually know anything about aeroplanes told them, ‘Hey, you can save that 2 cents on the plane if you ship the jobs to China or India.’”

Trump Jr. repeatedly encouraged his father’s supporters not to be complacent before next Monday’s caucuses amid forecasts for bitterly cold weather.

“If I can get my Florida butt back up here … if I can get back up here, everyone can get back out there,” he said.
