White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and National Security Council spokesman John Kirby are holding a press briefing on Wednesday.
The briefing comes after the Biden administration announced it intends to brand the Shiite Islamist Houthis a “specially-designated global terrorist” but not a foreign terrorist organization.

It also comes as the White House hosts a private meeting with congressional leaders on passing a national security package aimed at including funding for Ukraine, Israel, border security, and more.
The briefing is expected to begin at 2 p.m. Eastern time.
