Nancy Mace says Biden has ‘blood on his hands’ in wake of Iran attack

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) claimed on Monday that President Joe Biden has “blood on his hands” after a Saturday night attack in Iran killed three U.S. troops and injured 34 others.

The Iran attack was conducted by an Iraqi militia that is supported by Tehran, according to Biden, and has resulted in multiple Republican lawmakers, including Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Tom Cotton (R-AR), calling for action against Iran. Mace argued that the United States is not safe on the global stage under Biden’s leadership, and that he will go down as both the “most corrupt and most weak president in U.S. history.”

“And look what is happening with Iran right now,” Mace said on Fox Business. “I mean, Joe Biden also has blood on his hands. This never would have happened under Donald Trump, ’cause Donald Trump our enemies feared him, they were scared of him.”

Mace also cited Biden’s handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal in August 2021 as additional proof that the president has put “our troops’ lives on the line.” The withdrawal resulted in 13 U.S. service members getting killed.

The South Carolina lawmaker criticized Democrats who had claimed that Trump would cause World War III under his leadership, noting that they are the same lawmakers who are advocating for Biden to start World War III. As such, she suggested that the current state of the world is why the 2024 presidential election is important in order to get Trump back in the White House.

Mace’s comments against Biden come about a week after she endorsed Trump for president, earning Trump another endorsement in the Republican Party’s 2024 primary race. The former president recently beat former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley in the New Hampshire primary, earning over 50% of the vote.

Trump himself has issued a statement regarding the Iran attack, suggesting that the attack is “yet another horrific and tragic consequence of Joe Biden’s weakness and surrender.” He also asked “all Americans to join me in praying for those who have been wounded.”
