Joe Manchin’s wife hospitalized after car crash in Alabama

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) said Tuesday that his wife has been admitted to the hospital following a car wreck in Alabama on Monday.

Manchin said the crash happened after Gayle Manchin, the co-chair of the Appalachian Regional Commission, and her colleague Guy Land left the airport in Birmingham for a work event.

Manchin said his wife is in “stable condition” and will stay at UAB Hospital for “a couple of days for precautionary measures,” according to a press release.
