Comedian and podcaster Joe Rogan has signed a new multiyear deal with Spotify estimated to be worth upward of $250 million.
The Joe Rogan Experience is widely considered to be one of the most popular podcasts in the world, and the new contract will see the show extend beyond Spotify and become available on other audio platforms, according to a report.
Listeners will be able to enjoy Rogan break down everything from the 2024 election cycle to top mixed martial arts prospects across Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, and YouTube as a result of Spotify’s amended streaming rights strategy, which appears to be an effort to broaden distribution.
The platform will work with Rogan “to continue to maximize the audience of the show across platforms,” Spotify said.
The Joe Rogan Experience has been ranked as Spotify’s most popular program for three years, and it only became exclusive to the platform in 2020.
“The Joe Rogan Experience debuted in 2009, has been a Spotify exclusive since 2020, and we’re just getting started. Today we announced our new multiyear partnership deal with JRE,” Spotify said.
“There’s so much more ahead, including that the show will soon be available on additional platforms. JRE remains podcasting’s king, consistently ranking as the most-listened-to podcast globally and our users have ranked the show as Spotify’s Wrapped top podcast each year since 2020.”
Rogan appreciates the opportunity to speak to his audience because he feels that his conversations with his guests can inspire listeners to have similar discussions with their friends and, in turn, make their lives more interesting.

“There’s no script of what we’re going to talk about, and it all just sort of happens in real time. It’s just an actual organic conversation with people enjoying themselves, which is something we all can relate to, and something we all love to do,” Rogan said.
“These conversations have changed the way I think about life immeasurably and continue to do so. I feel extremely fortunate to be able to do it.”
