Ana Navarro mocks Trump in a belated Valentine’s Day poem – Washington Examiner Ana Navarro mocked Donald Trump in a belated Valentine’s Day poem

The View co-host Ana Navarro took a dig at former President Donald Trump on Thursday for his Valentine’s Day message to his wife.

Trump wished former first lady Melania Trump a happy Valentine’s Day on Wednesday by thanking her for her support throughout his various legal troubles.

“Dear Melania, I LOVE YOU. Even after every single INDICTMENT, ARREST, and WITCH HUNT, you never left my side,” he said in a campaign fundraising email. “You’ve always supported me through everything. I wouldn’t be the man I am today without your guidance, kindness, and warmth.“

“You will always mean the world to me, Melania! From your husband with love, Donald J. Trump,” the former president said in an email with the subject line, “I love you, Melania!”

Navarro scoffed at the former president’s claims that his wife has been supportive of his legal battles.

“Has anybody seen Melania by his side at any of these court appearances?” Navarro asked the show’s panel.

“No, we have not,” co-host Sunny Hostin chimed in.

Navarro went on to share her own poem for the former president.

“I’ve got a little poem for Trump. Roses are red, violets are blue. Your wife’s gone missing, get a damn clue!” Navarro quipped.

Last weekend, the former first lady was seen at a black-tie gala at Mar-a-Lago, where she and Trump were affectionately embracing. She smiled and waved at the crowd while wearing a black pantsuit.

During the final months of 2023, she spent most of her time in the hospital nursing her ailing mother, Amalija Knavs, who died on Jan. 9. The former first lady spoke at her mother’s memorial in Florida and attended her mother’s burial in Slovenia.

When the former president has been asked about his wife’s lack of attendance at campaign and legal events, he has frequently stated that she was helping her sick mother in private.

The absence of the former first lady at public events has spurred rumors about a rocky marriage, as Navarro alluded to in her comments on Thursday.
