The View co-host predicts voters will ‘start paying attention’ once Trump wins 2024 GOP nomination – Washington Examiner

The View co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin predicted Tuesday that voters will “start paying attention” to former President Donald Trump once he becomes the presidential nominee for the Republican Party.

The talk show hosts were discussing what a second Trump administration would look like, with Griffin predicting that the former president would secure the nomination once Tuesday’s primary elections are over. However, she also said she thinks Trump will start facing pushback from voters who realize he does not support their values.

“I think voters are actually going to start paying attention,” Griffin said. “I think a lot of this, they’re tuning it out. They know it’s going to be a long political season. But here’s the reality, Trump does not stand for a single conservative principle.”

Griffin, who previously worked in the Trump administration, claimed that the former president is blocking legislation that would provide aid to Ukraine and secure the border. She also pointed to how he has opposed a ban on the social media platform TikTok, reversing a previous stance he once had in support of such a ban.

“So, the one thing that gives me hope is there have got to be enough people like me who just know he’s the wrong direction for the country and he can’t win in November,” Griffin said. “I’m not confident, but I hope that’s the case.”

Both Trump and President Joe Biden will go through another round of primary elections on Tuesday, one week after both were the clear winners on Super Tuesday. It is increasingly likely that the 2024 presidential election could be a rematch between the two, as Trump and Biden were the nominees for their respective parties in the 2020 election.

Ahead of November’s election, several notable people have predicted that Trump would win a rematch against Biden, including NewsNation anchor Chris Cuomo. In January, David Axelrod, a senior adviser to former President Barack Obama, referred to Trump as a “formidable” opponent, and suggested the Biden administration “get into gear.”
