Ex-soap opera star found dead in ‘open field’ – Washington Examiner

Police discovered actress Robyn Bernard of General Hospital fame dead in an “open field” in California.

Bernard, 64, died in the early hours of Tuesday in an open field behind a business in San Jacinto, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. The police report noted there were no injuries but did not release a cause of death.

Her body was reportedly discovered by passersby around 4 a.m.

General Hospital cast Bernard as the aspirational singer Terry Brock in 145 episodes between 1984 and 1990. The soap opera continues to run after getting its start in 1963. Bernard was last credited with a role in the 2002 film adaptation of the play Voices from High School.

Bernard is survived by her father, Jerry Wayne Bernard, along with sisters Scarlett Bernard and Crystal Bernard. Notably, Crystal Bernard also rose to fame with her late sister when the two started their careers as child singers. Crystal went on to star in the TV series Wings just after her sister finished her stint on General Hospital.
