AOC grills Bobulinski about Biden’s criminal record: ‘Did the president commit a crime?’ – Washington Examiner

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) got into a heated exchange with former Hunter Biden business associate Tony Bobulinski on Wednesday over whether he witnessed President Joe Biden commit a crime.

The congresswoman asked whether it was Bobulinski’s testimony that he witnessed the president commit a crime. When Bobulinski attempted to skirt around giving a direct answer, Ocasio-Cortez repeated the question more firmly.

“Did you witness the president commit a crime?” Ocasio-Cortez asked.

“Yes,” Bobulinski said.

“And what crime have you witnessed?” the congresswoman asked. “It is simple, you name the crime. Did you witness him steal something?”

Rep. AOC asks Tony Bobulinski to list the crimes he witnessed Joe Biden commit.

Tony Bobulinski lists the crimes: corruption statutes, RICO, conspiracy, FARA.

AOC then says RICO is not a crime.🤦

Bobulinski then claimed to have witnessed the president violate corruption statutes, commit crimes under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, and violate the Foreign Agents Registration Act.

“What is the crime? I asked you to answer the question,” Ocasio-Cortez repeated.

“I answered the question — RICO. You’re obviously not familiar —” Bobulinski said before being cut off.

“Excuse me, sir, RICO is not a crime. It is a category,” Ocasio-Cortez interjected.

“RICO is a category of crime that you’re then charged with,” Bobulinski said.

Ocasio-Cortez also encouraged House Republicans leading Joe Biden’s impeachment inquiry to name the crime they are charging the president with.

The exchange occurred during the second House Oversight Committee hearing into the impeachment inquiry of the president. Bobulinski also testified that he believes the president is lying about his involvement in Hunter Biden’s business dealings because they had a meeting in Los Angeles in 2017.

“The sole reason Hunter wanted me to meet his father was because I was the CEO of Sinohawk,” Bobulinksi said. “’If Joe Biden was not involved in son’s business dealings … why would he take 45 minutes out of his night to sit with me for 45 minutes to an hour to discuss my background, the business we’re doing with the Chinese, and his family’s background?”

Hunter Biden has admitted that the meeting at the Beverly Hilton took place, but he said no business was discussed.

Another former Hunter Biden business associate was also at the hearing, along with former Trump administration aide Lev Parnas. Hunter Biden was also invited to testify but declined the invitation.
