Commander in weak: Most see feeble Biden military leadership – Washington Examiner

Most voters are not impressed with President Joe Biden in his role as commander in chief, calling him weaker than other recent presidents.

In the latest Rasmussen Reports survey shared with Secrets, just 23% called the aging chief a “stronger” commander than past presidents.

By comparison, 53% called Biden a weaker commander in chief than recent presidents, and 20% said that he is “about the same.”

The survey followed recent reports that the military is having great difficulty meeting its volunteer recruiting goals.

While he was of military age during the Vietnam War draft, Biden received multiple student deferments and never served.

As president, his military leadership has been questioned, especially after ordering the abrupt withdrawal of Afghanistan. In that debacle, 13 service members were killed in a suicide bombing.

The survey leaned Democratic and included more than double the number of veterans — 18% — than the 6% who have served, according to a 2023 Pew survey.
