Trump mocks Ronna McDaniel’s career as headed to ‘never neverland’ after unceremonious NBC firing – Washington Examiner

Former President Donald Trump mocked former Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel on Tuesday night in a social media post, claiming her career was headed to “never neverland” after she was unceremoniously fired from NBC.

NBC News announced it was hiring McDaniel as a political commentator on Friday, but reversed its decision on Monday after the move faced heavy backlash from other hosts following a 20-minute interview that aired Sunday.

“Wow! Ronna McDaniel got fired by Fake News NBC,” Trump posted to Truth Social. “She only lasted two days, and this after McDaniel went out of her way to say what they wanted to hear. It leaves her in a very strange place, it’s called NEVER NEVERLAND, and it’s not a place you want to be.”

The former RNC chairwoman angered Trump after she rejected his claim that the 2020 election was stolen by President Joe Biden, but she did agree that there were electoral “problems” in certain battleground states.

Despite her rejection of the election being stolen, some on-air hosts slammed the hire, claiming their interactions with McDaniel and the RNC during her tenure resulted in “gaslighting” and “character assassination.”

“These Radical Left Lunatics are CRAZY, and the top people at NBC ARE WEAK,” Trump also said in the post. “They were BROKEN and EMBARRASSED by LOW RATINGS, HIGHLY OVERPAID, “TALENT.” BRING BACK FREE AND FAIR PRESS – MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN 2024!”

McDaniel has not publicly commented on the moves but is reportedly looking into defamation and hostile work environment lawsuits, according to Politico. She is also looking to be paid the full amount of her contract, which was a two-year agreement and a $300,000 salary, because she did not violate any parts of her contract.
