Podcast host and comedian Joe Rogan declared that Republicans only seem like the fix to the nation’s problems because Democrats are currently in power.

“Here’s the real problem,” Rogan said on Wednesday’s episode of the Joe Rogan Experience. “Republicans won’t be the solution either, kids. The problem is … Republicans seem like they are your solution, but it’s just because the people in power are the Democrats.”

“Whenever the Democrats are out and the Republicans are in, everybody is dying for a Democrat,” he added.

Rogan used the administration of former President George W. Bush as a prime example.

“I remember when Bush was president,” he said. “After the second term, everybody is like, ‘Good Lord! Can we get a f***ing reasonable Democrat in here before this country goes Christian Nationalist and f***ing goes crazy and starts every war!’”

Then, Barack Obama arrived in office, and the cycle appeared to repeat itself, according to Rogan.

“The whistleblower protection that he promised, eh, actually probably like one of the worst on whistleblowers ever,” he said. “Drone strikes, eh, kind of a s***load of drone strikes.”

“The whole thing was bonkers. It’s just the same structure with a different face,” he said.
