Israeli police release dramatic footage of hostage rescue – Washington Examiner

Israel released a video of its dramatic rescue operation in which four hostages taken by Hamas on Oct. 7 were saved over the weekend.

In the video, the Israel Defense Forces can be seen moving through a wooded area before reaching a home where they make contact with the hostages. Several gunshots and small explosions can be heard during the operation.

This is the moment the elite Yamam unit rescued former hostages Shlomi Ziv, Almog Meir Jan and Andrey Kozlov from captivity in Gaza.

The rescued hostages were Noa Argamani, 26, Almog Meir Jan, 22, Andrey Kozlov, 27, and Shlomi Ziv, 41. All four were taken to Sheba Tel-HaShomer Medical Center near Tel Aviv at the time of their rescue and were reported to be in good condition.

In the video, soldiers can be heard telling the hostages, “We came to save you, stay calm.” Ziv, Meir Jan, and Kozlov can be seen with their heads shaved bald before their rescue. The hostages appear to be taking shelter under a mattress or some similar structure before IDF forces uncovered them.
