New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers will not appear on The Pat McAfee Show for the remainder of the NFL season following his feud with late-night host Jimmy Kimmel.
Rodgers’s absence for the remainder of the football season was announced by Pat McAfee on Wednesday, with McAfee acknowledging that the feud between Kimmel and Rodgers “got real loud.” Rodgers had joked that Kimmel was nervous about the release of Jeffrey Epstein’s list, prompting Kimmel to threaten legal action against the football player.
“There will be a lot of people who are happy with that, myself included, to be honest with you,” McAfee said. “The way it ended, it got real loud. I’m happy that he’s not going to be in my mentions going forward, which is great news.”
McAfee added that he has been “very lucky” to have Rodgers on his show, though he acknowledged that the Jets player’s opinions “do p*** off a lot of people.” He also said he was “pumped” that he would not have to deal with concerns about Rodgers’s comments “every single Wednesday of my life.”
In the wake of threatening to discuss Rodgers’s joke further in court, Kimmel discussed the topic on his show Monday evening. During this episode, Kimmel joked that the “hamster-brained” Rodgers had been mad at Kimmel over jokes he made about the football player in the past, including his criticism of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Rodgers addressed his feud with Kimmel on Tuesday, clarifying that he did not accuse Kimmel of being on Epstein’s list or visiting his island, noting that making such an accusation would be very serious. He added that he is “not stupid enough” to accuse Kimmel of visiting Epstein’s island without evidence.
