Actress makes political jab at US-Canada trade war during Emmys

Actress Sally Field made a subtle political reference during her 2026 Emmy Awards acceptance speech. 

This year’s Emmys mostly steered away from heavily political speeches. Even the former Late Show host Stephen Colbert, a prominent critic of President Donald Trump, skipped the political commentary during his speech. However, Field, featured in movies including Mrs. Doubtfire (1993) and Forrest Gump (1994), seemingly referenced U.S. tensions with Canada amid trade disputes.
