Airport board votes to rename Nashville airport after Dolly Parton

The Nashville airport will be renamed in honor of late music icon Dolly Parton after the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority unanimously approved the change on Friday.

The airport authority voted 6-0 to rename the airport, but said the final name will be determined at a later date. The vote comes after Parton’s death on Aug. 25 at age 80 rocked millions of fans.
