Former President Barack Obama has spoken out about President Trump’s decision to block three legacy media outlets from entering the White House, and it has predictably backfired on him.
On Friday, Obama addressed a crowd of roughly 4,000 during a ‘conversation’ at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York. Over the course of an hour, he spoke about a variety of topics, including democracy, leadership, and artificial intelligence.
At one point, Obama went off-script and called out the Trump Administration for confiscating the press passes of POLITICO, CNN, and MSNOW.
Obama marveled at how one man could ban outlets over unfavorable coverage, quipping, “I’m trying to think what would have happened if I had said, ‘You know what, Fox News, you’re out of here!’”
Does someone want to tell him?

OBAMA: My imagination could not foresee some of the stuff that’s going on right now. I believe there was an announcement that the White House just decided…You know, CNN, MSNOW, you can’t just come to the White House press briefings anymore.
Because you’re (laughing) giving the president unfavorable coverage. I’m trying to think what would have happened if I had said, “You know what, Fox News, you’re out of here!”
It’s unimaginable!
X users responded by noting how incredibly ironic Obama’s statement was. Not only did he try to exclude Fox News from a pool interview during his first term, but his administration also got busted for spying on reporters and tapping their phones.
True – so Obama just did it covertly – spied on press, spied on candidate Trump, used IRS to target conservative press & individuals and illegally set in motion efforts within the government to stop President Trump when he assumed office
Obama was the most lawless and dangerous…

President Obama tried to cut Fox News off within the first six months of his first term, in 2009.

The Obama administration openly treated Fox as more of a political opponent than a news outlet. Officials called it a “wing of the Republican Party” and skipped it for some presidential interviews, including a round of Sunday shows.

Because Fox News wasn’t mixing words to their liking and reporting fake news when you were President Sir.

Well, you did try to ban fox news in 2009.

Remember when Obama spied on reporters and tapped their phones?
Remember when Obama used the Espionage act to arrest media sources and whistleblowers?
This was more than ALL PREVIOUS PRESIDENTS COMBINED. pic.twitter.com/6zxgANpJqk

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that President Trump on Friday announced on Truth Social that he had banned CNN, MSNOW, and Politico from the White House for constantly reporting “FAKE NEWS.”
Trump also warned that other fake news media outlets would be next.
“I am proud to announce that, effective immediately, I am banning Fake News CNN, MSNOW (who recently changed their name from MSNBC due to lack of viewership and credibility!), and Politico (The recipients of an illegal and ridiculous $8 Million Dollar subscription, an All Time Record, directly from the United States Government, under Crooked Joe Biden, in order to keep them “alive.”),” Trump said.
Trump’s decision to ban CNN, MSNOW, and Politico from the White House will almost certainly spark a legal battle.
