President Joe Biden‘s campaign has launched its own account on Truth Social, the social media platform owned by former President Donald Trump.
The account, Biden-Harris HQ, made its first post early-Monday afternoon. On X, the platform known as Twitter, Biden-Harris HQ stated that it set up the account on Truth Social “mostly because we thought it would be very funny.”

“Well. Let’s see how this goes. Converts welcome!” The post read.
Trump has used the platform as a means for him to issue statements online in the wake of him getting banned on multiple social media accounts. Many of these platforms, including X, Facebook, and Instagram, have since reverted their bans of the former president.
Biden’s campaign starting a Truth Social account comes as Trump and Biden could potentially compete against each other again in the 2024 presidential election. Both candidates are currently the lead candidates in the primary races for the respective parties.
