Biden impeachment inquiry: Comer subpoenas four more Hunter Biden associates

The House Oversight Committee subpoenaed four more people associated with Hunter Biden, including his art dealer and two business associates.

One day after Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) subpoenaed Hunter Biden and James Biden, the president’s brother, the Kentucky Republican sent out four more subpoenas for Elizabeth Naftali, who purchased Hunter Biden’s art; Georges Berges, Hunter Biden’s art dealer; and Eric Schwerin and Mervyn Yan, two Hunter Biden business associates, to sit for depositions before the committee.

Naftali, a Los Angeles-based real estate investor and appointee of President Joe Biden, reportedly purchased one of Hunter Biden’s art pieces for as much as $500,000 from the Georges Berges Gallery. Naftali was appointed to the Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad in July 2022, which was after Hunter Biden’s first art show in Hollywood.

Berges is Hunter Biden’s gallerist and helps coordinate the sale of his pieces.

Schwerin served as managing director of the investment firm Rosemont Seneca Partners, which Hunter Biden co-founded with Devon Archer. Yan is a former business associate of Hunter Biden.

“The House Oversight Committee is leaving no stone unturned as we investigate President Joe Biden’s central role in his family’s domestic and international business dealings,” Comer said in a statement. “Yesterday, the House Oversight Committee delivered subpoenas to the President’s son, Hunter Biden, brother, James Biden, and other Biden family associates connected to the record of evidence obtained by this Committee. A plethora of bank records, texts, emails, and a transcribed interview with Biden family associate Devon Archer all show the Bidens and their business partners sold access to the highest levels of our government, including Joe Biden himself, to the detriment of America’s interests.”
