Emails from Hunter Biden‘s laptop showed that then-Vice President Joe Biden knocked then-President Barack Obama for having “no grace” after the younger Biden accused Obama of plagiarizing his father’s speeches.
The criticism came in an email from Sept. 7, 2010, sent from Hunter Biden to Joe Biden’s personal email account, [email protected], one day after Obama delivered a pro-union speech at Laborfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, according to emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop via Fox News. In the email, Hunter Biden sent parts of Obama’s speech, alleging that the words may not have been his own.

“Interesting language from the President: ‘They (his grandparent) would tell me about seeing their fathers or uncles losing their jobs … how it wasn’t just a loss of a paycheck that stung. It was the blow to their dignity, their sense of self worth,’” Hunter wrote.
“Wonder where he got that from?” Hunter asked. “Im surprised he didn’t finish with the long walk up a short flight of stairs. Pretty amazing.”
In an email back to his son, Biden replied, “No grace.”
Hunter Biden was alleging that Obama stole language from Joe Biden’s 2008 campaign speeches when Biden, a senator from Delaware at the time, talked about the ramifications that losing a job can have on a family.
“That’s how you come to believe, to the very core of your being, that work is more than a paycheck,” Biden said in his speech accepting the Democratic vice-presidential nomination in August 2008. “It’s dignity. It’s respect.”
In November 2008, Biden spoke about a “long walk” during a speech in Missouri.
“You know, when a job is lost or a house is foreclosed on, it’s not just an economic loss, it’s emotionally devastating for a family,” he said. “It’s about a parent having to make that long walk up a short flight of stairs, like my dad did when I was 10 years old, and walk into the child’s bedroom and say, ‘Honey, I’m sorry — I’m sorry but Daddy lost his job or Mommy lost her job.'”
Biden’s personal email address is one of many that were used by the then-vice president to communicate with family. The email address was involved in multiple email exchanges on Hunter’s abandoned laptop, according to a report from Marco Polo.
President Joe Biden and Hunter Biden’s communications have been at the center of House GOP investigations into allegations of influence peddling by the Biden family. Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings and President Joe Biden’s alleged knowledge and involvement in them have been the subject of many hearings and much testimony.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) announced on Tuesday that Republicans will open an impeachment inquiry into Biden as the “logical next step” in the investigations. McCarthy said the inquiry came after several key pieces of evidence painted a “picture of corruption.”
