Biden’s Approval Rating Among Dems Plummets 11 Points To Lowest Of His Presidency

President Joe Biden’s approval rating among Democrats has fallen to its lowest of his presidency, according to a new Gallup poll.

Biden’s approval rating within his own party declined 11 points over the past month, falling to 75%, according to a Thursday Gallup poll. Among Independent voters, the president’s approval rating fell four points to 35%.

Overall, Biden’s approval rating slipped to 37%, a four-point decline since September, the Gallup poll shows. His approval rating among Republicans remains unchanged, sitting at 5%.

“Biden’s immediate and decisive show of support for Israel following the Oct. 7 attacks by Hamas appears to have turned off some in his own party, resulting in Democrats’ worst assessment of the president since he took office,” the Gallup poll states. “Biden’s overall approval rating likewise matches his personal low.”

Throughout October, Biden has been managing the United States’ response to Hamas’ terrorist attack on Israel. The president’s initial response came under fire from prominent Conservative media personalities who criticized Biden for staying out of public view and holding a barbecue for White House staff and their families while war broke out in the Middle East. The poll was conducted between Oct. 2 and Oct. 23. and surveyed 1,009 adults within the United States. The margin of error for the poll is 4 points.

Since the initial backlash, Biden has traveled to Israel to display the United States’ commitment to the country during its war with Hamas. The president also gave a rare Oval Office address regarding the war in Israel, touting an aid package that provides funds to both Ukraine and Israel.

“The Israeli-Palestinian conflict comes at a time when Americans remain pessimistic about the economy, the Biden administration is struggling to deal with increasing numbers of migrants attempting to enter the country, and debate continues about how much aid to provide to Ukraine in its war with Russia,” the Gallup poll states.
