Former Republican Arizona U.S. Senate candidate Blake Masters announced Thursday that he will be running for Congress.
In a video released on Twitter, Masters announced he will be seeking a House seat in Arizona’s 8th district. “Biden has failed. We need Trump back. We need to stop inflation, Build the Wall, avoid WW3, and secure Arizona’s water future. We need to fight for our families,” Masters said in his tweet.

The Wall Street Journal reported in August that Masters, who lost his bid for Arizona; ‘s other Senate seat in 2022, planned to run in 2024. Masters previously lost to Arizona Democratic Sen. Masters was reportedly supposed to announce his campaign for Senate, which would have put him at odds with Republican Kari Lake, who announced her bid for Senate earlier in October. (RELATED: Kari Lake Officially Launches Bid For US Senate)
Lake ran for Arizona governor in 2022, losing to then-Secretary of State Katie Hobbs by around 17,000 votes (or 0.6 percent).
