Shocking footage showed the moment a full-on funeral brawl unfolded over the open casket of the late “So You Think You Can Dance” star, Joshua Allen.
A young female was seen leaning over the casket Nov. 8 when an older woman appeared to yank her back, the video showed. The women became entangled in a physical exchange as other funeral attendees jumped into the mix.
The Fort Worth Police Department was called to the scene twice, and they remained at the funeral until it concluded after their second visit, TMZ reported Tuesday. The identity of the woman that leaned over the casket in the video, seen here, became a point of contention.
The video showed a number of police officers in uniform on-scene amid the mourners.

Allen’s family was divided after the alleged altercation. The late star’s father, Eddie Powell, told TMZ the woman standing over the casket was Joshua’s girlfriend. He alleged that she was assaulted by members of the family on Angela Tolbert’s, Joshua’s mother, side when she leaned over Allen’s body to leave a note in his casket.
“She was his heart. She was trying to help him get mental health treatment when the police got involved instead,” Powell told TMZ. He said the woman had hopes of marrying his late son.
Powell claimed the woman received “direct permission” from Joshua’s mother to attend the funeral service, and she defended her presence. (RELATED: ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ Winner Dies Mysteriously At Age 36)
“She came in peace. She showed nothing but grace, patience, and love,” Powell said.
At least one other person in attendance at the funeral claimed online that the woman who was allegedly assaulted was actually Allen’s ex-girlfriend, TMZ reported.

Powell did not stay to the end of the funeral as a result of the brawl. He claimed Allen struggled with mental health issues for a long time prior to his death, according to TMZ.
The identity of the alleged female victim remains unclear.
Allen died Sept. 30 at the age of 36 after he was hit and killed by a train.
The talented dancer rose to fame after winning Season 4 of “So You Think You Can Dance,” where the late Stephen “tWitch” Boss came in 2nd place. He went on to perform in 2010’s “Step Up 3D” and 2011’s “Footloose” remake.
The funeral altercation did not result in any arrests or citations being issued, according to TMZ.
