With everything else that is happening right now, it’s easy to forget that there are elections happening all over the place, too.

Tonight in Georgia and Oklahoma, Trump-backed candidates won Republican primary races tonight. Good news all around.

The midterms are coming up fast. The GOP needs good people in these races. In Georgia, Mike Collins pulled out a win.

From Just the News:

Trump-backed Mike Collins projected to win Georgia Senate Republican nomination over Kemp’s pick

Georgia GOP Rep. Mike Collins is expected to win his party’s nomination for Senate in a special runoff election Tuesday night, which comes after he secured President Donald Trump’s endorsement.

Trump endorsed Collins over the weekend while Gov. Brian Kemp, R-Ga., has been campaigning with Collins’ GOP primary opponent, Derek Dooley.

The two candidates advanced to the runoff last month and Collins will now face incumbent Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff in November.

Collins secured the nomination with 55.5% of the vote, compared to Dooley’s 44.5%, according to the Associated Press.

In Oklahoma, Trump-backed Kevin Hern won his primary.

NBC News reports:

Rep. Kevin Hern Secures GOP Nomination for Oklahoma Senate Seat

Representative Kevin Hern has emerged victorious in the Republican primary for the open Senate seat in Oklahoma, according to projections from NBC News. This win positions him as the likely successor to former Senator Markwayne Mullin, who is now the Secretary of Homeland Security.

Hern’s victory in the primary contest was widely anticipated, solidifying his standing as a prominent figure within the state’s Republican party. His campaign focused on conservative principles and a commitment to Oklahoma’s values.

The upcoming general election in November is expected to heavily favor Hern. Oklahoma has a strong Republican lean, making his path to the Senate seat appear relatively clear against any Democratic challenger.

Excellent.

These are good wins. Let’s have some more of them!
