Class-action settlement: Deadline to file for $15 million A&W settlement in two days

October 16, 2023 02:57 PM

Those seeking to file a claim in a $15 million class-action settlement brought on by claims of false advertising by A&W and Keurig Dr Pepper have two more days to do so.

The settlement stems from the phrasing of root beer and cream soda products, as they were labeled “Made With Aged Vanilla” despite the soda containing a synthetic ingredient called ethyl vanillin rather than real aged vanilla. The lawsuit was filed in 2020.

Those who can file a claim include customers who purchased an A&W root beer or cream soda with the label dated between Feb. 7, 2016, and June 2, 2023. People who are interested in filing a claim have until Wednesday to do so.

The minimum payment for the settlement is $5.50, while the maximum payment for the settlement is $25. Those who do not provide proof of purchase will receive the minimum amount, while those who provide proof of purchase can get up to the maximum amount.
