Class-action settlement: Panera Bread app users must claim voucher from $2 million suit today – Washington Examiner

Panera Bread customers who ordered delivery from the company’s mobile app have until the end of Monday to receive two vouchers for free food.

Panera settled three separate lawsuits by agreeing to a $2 million settlement after being accused of misleading customers about the price of delivery orders. The company didn’t admit to any wrongdoing.

To be eligible, customers must have made a mobile delivery or website purchase between Oct. 1, 2020, and Aug. 21, 2021. Those eligible must submit their valid claim form by the end of today, June 10, to receive their vouchers or $12 in cash.

The two vouchers are valued together at $19. Those who opt instead for the cash payment can receive the amount through PayPal, Venmo, or alternative methods of electronic payment.

Claims must be submitted online with a phone number linked to an account that made a purchase during the time period covered by the settlement.

Panera operates over 2,000 locations. It last came under scrutiny when two people died after consuming its new “supercharged” lemonade drink, with a high caffeine content. The company has since reduced the amount of caffeine.
