Class-action settlement: What to know about DreamCloud mattress settlement deadline in three days
October 20, 2023 02:13 PM
The Federal Trade Commission began accepting claims earlier this year in a settlement for DreamCloud mattresses. The FTC took an interest in the luxury mattress brand after the company falsely claimed the mattresses were “Made in the USA” but contained imported materials. The deadline to file a claim if you are a consumer of DreamCloud is in three days, on Oct. 23.
What is the lawsuit about?
The FTC launched the lawsuit into DreamCloud in 2021 for false advertising. The federal agency said DreamCloud mattresses contained “significant imported materials, and many are wholly imported,” which contradicts their branding of “proudly made with 100% USA-made premium quality materials.” The company agreed to pay the settlement and provide refunds to affected consumers.

Who is eligible?
If you made a purchase from DreamCloud between Dec. 9, 2018, and Jan. 29, 2019, or between May 6, 2020, and June 26, 2020, you might be eligible for financial compensation. Consumers must not have received a refund yet, and their decision to purchase a product must have been swayed by the company’s claim of using “USA-made premium quality materials.”

How can I file a claim?
If consumers believe they qualify, they can submit a claim at secure.dreamcloudrefund.com. A claim ID is needed to file a form, which should have been sent out via email or mail by the FTC, but if you have not received an ID, there is still time to reach out by calling 844-798-0740 or emailing [email protected]. No proof of purchase is required for this settlement.
How much money will I be issued?
The FTC has already begun sending payments, totaling nearly $45,000, to affected customers. Once consumers file their claim form and receive their check, the FTC encourages recipients to cash their checks within 90 days. The exact payment amount has not been disclosed. The FTC said it has been contacting an additional 12,300 consumers within the last several months.
