Comedy Central pulled a “South Park” rerun mocking Charlie Kirk after the conservative activist was assassinated Wednesday.
The Paramount-owned network yanked the scheduled airing of “Got a Nut” — a Season 27 episode featuring Eric Cartman imitating Kirk’s look and podcast style — just hours after he was shot and killed while speaking at Utah Valley University, the New York Post reported. Instead, the channel ran the season’s first episode in its place. (RELATED: Charlie Kirk Dead At 31 Following University Shooting)

The episode first aired Aug. 6 and sparked headlines for mocking Kirk’s campus speaking tours. In it, Cartman accepts the fictional “Charlie Kirk Award for Young Master Debaters.” The episode also showed counselor Mr. Mackey teaming up with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and joining raids alongside Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.
Kirk shrugged off the bit in an Aug. 7 TikTok, laughing at the parody and calling it “hilarious.” He told followers he saw it as a “badge of honor.” Kirk even changed his X profile picture to Cartman in the Turning Point founder’s trademark black T-shirt. “Got a Nut” marked the show’s latest jab at real-world political figures.
For nearly 30 years, “South Park” has skewered politicians, celebrities and other public figures.
Utah Valley University Police Chief Jeff Long said six officers and Kirk’s private security were present. “You try to get your bases covered, and unfortunately, today, we didn’t,” he told Fox 13 Salt Lake City.
Authorities said Thursday the suspect in Kirk’s killing remains at large. (RELATED: Manhunt For Charlie Kirk’s Killer Continues Into Second Day After Two False Arrests)
The episode is still available to stream on Paramount+ with a subscription. The Daily Caller reached out to Paramount Skydance and Paramount Global for comment but did not receive a response by publication.
