Comer says he’s willing to ‘open up’ his books to get answers about Biden bank records

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) reiterated a commitment to transparency following a heated exchange with Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) during an “Oversight of the U.S. General Services Administration” committee hearing on Tuesday.

“I was not going to sit there and let Moscowitz lie about me and my family. We are very transparent,” Comer told Hannity on Tuesday evening. “I disclose all of my finances. If they want to come to my hometown in Monroe County, Kentucky, I told him I would pay for his plane ticket.”

During the committee hearing on Tuesday, Moskowitz suggested that Comer sit for a deposition over allegations that he paid his brother a $200,000 personal loan despite investigating President Joe Biden for loaning his brother James Biden money during his vice presidency. Moskowitz offered Comer his remaining time to respond, and in doing so, Comer quickly frustrated the Florida Democrat.

Comer told Hannity that he would also “open up” his books before the House Oversight Committee in the name of transparency in order to get the Bidens to bring forward their bank records.

“If that’s what it will take for [the Bidens] to open up their books, then I will do that. I will do whatever it takes to get the American people answers about the corruption of this Biden family,” Comer said.

“Ian Sams is leading this through their dark money political group out of the White House. They’re trying to discredit me because I continue to follow the money and provide evidence of criminal activity by the Biden family,” he added.

Comer has been investigating the Biden family’s business dealings alongside House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH).

The investigation entails looking into “criminal bribery” and money laundering schemes involving the president, Hunter Biden, other Biden family members, and foreign nationals.
