Dan Bongino demands ‘childish nitwits’ in House decide on a speaker

Podcaster Dan Bongino blasted House members Friday for not producing a speaker after 17 days.

“PICK A SPEAKER ALREADY YOU CHILDISH NITWITS!” Bongino wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) has failed in three elections for speaker as of Friday. The previous two elections happened back to back on Thursday. Former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) was ousted when eight Republicans voted to oust him along with the rest of the Democratic members.

“McCarthy, of all people, was just on the floor nominating Jordan, which makes these whining crybaby wussbags in Congress look even worse,” Bongino said later on his podcast, the Dan Bongino Show. “This is hilariously stupid. This is so dumb. Put your big boy pants on.”

Jordan had the endorsement of Reps. Nancy Mace (R-SC), Matt Gaetz (R-FL), and Andy Biggs (R-AZ), who voted to oust McCarthy. However, Jordan hasn’t earned the vote of all the eight Republicans who turned against McCarthy, namely Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO), while still nabbing the endorsement of fellow Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO). Former President Donald Trump has also endorsed Jordan.

It appears no other Republican member is in the race for speaker, as Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) withdrew from the race when he discovered he likewise did not have the necessary 214 votes.

Bongino has been issuing his own podcast on Spotify, Apple, and Rumble since he left Fox News in April of this year. He also has a nationally syndicated talk radio program.
