Democrats ‘gaslighting’ voters to ‘the highest form’ over Biden’s condition – Washington Examiner

Democrats and the inner circle at the White House are “gaslighting” voters in an unprecedented way due to President Joe Biden’s apparent deterioration, according to Washington Examiner investigative reporter Gabe Kaminsky.

“For years, conservative media at places I work like the Washington Examiner, places like the Daily Caller, have been covering Joe Biden’s various gaffes,” Kaminsky said on Fox News at Night.

“Now, it is actually politically advantageous and safe, actually, and left-of-center media to criticize the president. So, I would say it’s gaslighting of the highest form.”

Conservative outlets have long reported Biden’s stumbles, but legacy media outlets have ramped up criticism of the president following his June 27 debate debacle against former President Donald Trump.

Still, a majority of congressional Democrats and the inner circle of the Biden administration continue to tell voters that his debate performance was simply the result of a “bad night.

“Yeah, he didn’t have a great debate,” Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) told Fox News this week. “I didn’t have a great debate back in 2022 … but I’m here right now, and I’m defending him.”

“I spent the whole day with the president, and he was perfect the entire time, whether it’s in Philadelphia or Harrisburg, people were really happy to meet him, and they really wanted a picture. I wouldn’t be on your network right now if he had a rough day or if it wasn’t a good situation. He was Joe, perfect Joe.”

National Security Council spokesman John Kirby echoed Fetterman’s sentiment during an appearance on CNN.

“The president that I see everyday, including yesterday a couple of times in the Oval Office, is robust,” according to Kirby. “He’s lucid. He’s clear. He’s direct, and he’s in command of the context and the information.”

“He was asking me questions yesterday about events in Europe that I simply didn’t have the answers for, and I had to go back and come back to him with some answers,” he said. “That’s the president that I see every day. That’s the commander in chief that I’ve been serving the last 2 1/2 years.”
