DeSantis asks who is running the White House and ‘waiting in the wings with Kamala’

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) renewed his questioning over who is truly running the White House.

In an appearance on Fox News, DeSantis decried the conduct of the administration, speculating that many left-wing figures were responsible for running its policy, which he described as “very left-wing.” He began by deriding Biden’s conduct after a gaffe he suffered during a visit to Vietnam.

“I mean, this is a guy that’s stumbling around the world stage; he’s projecting weakness,” DeSantis said. “I think our enemies have already taken advantage of that. … It’s likely to invite even more problems around the world and so, you know, it’s sad, but I think it’s obvious that he’s been struggling for quite some time.”

“The corporate press is going to do whatever they can to run interference for him. And I also look and think about who’s waiting in the wings with Kamala, and I think you’re right in terms of the aptitude,” he told host Laura Ingraham. “Even though she’s a lot younger, I think she’s basically been his impeachment insurance because people know no matter how bad Biden is, nobody wants Harris. … That’s just the reality, and that’s a sad situation America finds ourselves in.”

Ingraham then asked the Florida governor who he thought was truly running the Biden administration behind the scenes.

“I think you have a lot of very left-wing aides and staffers in the White House,” DeSantis responded. “And I think you have a line to people like Valerie Jarrett, Obama; I think they’re all involved behind the scenes pushing him in a very left-wing direction. I mean, his presidency has been more left-wing than Obama’s was, even, and he presented himself as being a more moderate candidate when he ran in 2020. And I think that’s a result of these folks really pushing the envelope.”

He then went on to protest a new civil rights investigation the administration launched against Florida over his education reforms.
