Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) pledged to take action against Dr. Anthony Fauci and other figures involved in the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns if elected president.
DeSantis pledged to bring a “reckoning” to Fauci, responding to a report that the former White House chief medical adviser cast doubt on reports that lockdowns harmed children’s learning.

“We cannot allow Anthony Fauci to escape accountability,” he wrote. “I am the only candidate who will bring a reckoning for what tyrants like Fauci did to our country during COVID.”

DeSantis has made a rival of Fauci and has touted his fight against him as one of his chief accomplishments as governor of Florida.
