Scott Hall, a co-defendant in the sweeping Fulton County racketeering indictment against former President Donald Trump, pleaded guilty to five charges on Friday.

Hall is a bail bondsman in the Atlanta area who was allegedly among a group of people who breached a Coffee County election office on Jan. 7, 2021. He pleaded guilty before Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee on Friday afternoon as part of a negotiated deal with prosecutors.

The co-defendant was initially charged with seven counts linked to the effort, including a state racketeering charge that alleges an illegal conspiracy by Trump and other defendants to overturn President Joe Biden’s 2020 victory in the Peach State. He pleaded guilty to five misdemeanor counts of conspiracy to commit intentional interference with the performance of election duties.

Hall will serve five years of probation as part of the sentencing agreement, McAfee said during a hearing Friday afternoon. He will also have to pay a total of $5,000 and serve 200 hours of community service.

Like all defendants in the case, Hall had pleaded not guilty when he was booked last month at the Fulton County Jail. His guilty plea marks a victory for prosecutors and comes as they have signaled a willingness to offer plea deals for other defendants in the case, including Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro.

Hall was accused of willfully collaborating with multiple other co-defendants, including Powell, to tamper with electronic voting machine equipment.
