Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) contended the Harris campaign is at fault for why Vice President Kamala Harris is not ahead by a large margin in the election, specifically due to her political record.
Polling data released Monday, conducted among 5,000 registered voters, found that former President Donald Trump and Harris were in a dead heat. Laura Ingraham asked Donalds on Fox News’s The Ingraham Angle if recent moves by the Harris campaign indicate the vice president is attempting to “shame people into voting for her,” but he said that her campaign members “should be ashamed of themselves.”
“The Kamala Harris record has been a disaster. Everybody knows that,” Donalds said. “Immigration, our economy, foreign policy. I’ll give you another one that is resonating when you talk to voters around the country: this radical transgender movement that’s taking puberty from children and hiding it from parents. That radical stuff, putting men in women’s sports.”
Donalds continued that these “radical ideas” from Harris and the Democratic Party are the record the party has to run on next month, whereas Trump “has a recipe” to help the nation succeed. As such, the Florida congressman contended that Harris’s campaign members need “to blame themselves first” before pointing their fingers elsewhere.
Former President Barack Obama was campaigning for the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee earlier this month, during which he complained that the lack of enthusiasm from black men supporting Harris is “not acceptable.” His comments received some criticism, with Donalds becoming the latest to criticize this approach to voters.
“It’s just a joke, and the media, they’re the No. 1 culprits in all this because for the first 40-50 days of her campaign, instead of holding her accountable, like you would any other presidential candidate, they treated her like she was a Hollywood actress,” Donalds said. “We all remember when she wasn’t saying anything to anybody, and they all thought it was the greatest thing ever.”

Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears (R-VA) has also lobbied criticism toward Obama’s comments, suggesting the Democratic Party has “run out of arguments” to support Harris.
Ahead of Election Day, wrestling icon Hulk Hogan has predicted a “landslide” victory in favor of Trump, dismissing polling data indicating a tight race. Hogan explained he has been traveling across the country to promote his new beer brand, Real American Beer, and throughout his travels he has learned “everybody’s for Trump.”
