Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul and Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz will endorse Arizona Senate Republican candidate Kari Lake on Monday for U.S. Senate, the Daily Caller has first learned.
Both Paul and Gaetz said they believe Lake will be the perfect candidate to shake things up in Washington and defeat her Democratic opponent, Rep. Ruben Gallego.
“Kari Lake is MAGA to her core and cannot be bought by the establishment. I am proud to endorse her for the United States Senate in Arizona. I am very much look forward to watching her shake up the halls of power,” Gaetz told the Caller. “Kari Lake will go to DC to shake things up, and that’s exactly the kind of leadership that Arizona needs in the United States Senate. I am proud to endorse Kari Lake for the United States Senate because she has the policies, the drive, and desire to defeat the Washington War Machine and restore American liberties,” Paul told the Caller. Lake told the Caller she is grateful for the endorsements and said both Paul and Gatez have been “champions” fighting for liberty and against the “Washington War machine.”
“I am thankful to have the endorsement of America First warriors Senator Paul and Rep. Gaetz. They have been champions for fiscal responsibility, liberty, and fighting against the Washington War machine. I look forward to working with them to implement President Trump’s agenda,” Lake said in response to the two endorsements. Lake has been endorsed by former President Donald Trump, Wyoming Sen. John Barrasso, Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton, Tennessee Sen. Bill Hagerty, Kansas Sen. Roger Marshall, Alabama Sen. On Oct. 3, Lake registered her Senate campaign committee with the Federal Elections Commission (FEC) ahead of her campaign launch.
The Arizona Republican, who ran for governor in 2022, is heavily favored to win the GOP primary. If selected as the primary candidate, Lake will then likely face Independent Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema and Democratic Arizona Rep. Ruben Gallego in a three-way general election.
Cook Political rates Arizona Senate as a toss-up, meaning it will likely be a better pickup opportunity for Senate Republicans than Pennsylvania or Montana, which are rated to lean Democrat in 2024.
