There is no evidence of Melania Trump endorsing Harris.
Trump posted on X after her husband’s election win and reassured followers that they will “safeguard” freedom, according to the Independent. Though she was present for the victory speech, Trump was not present in a family photo posted by Kai Trump, Donald Trump Jr.’s daughter, the outlet reported.
A post shared on Threads purports Trump shared public support for her husband’s opponent in the general election. The post shared a photo of Donald Trump as she stands behind him, seemingly scowling.
The caption reads, “Melania Trump quietly endorses Kamala Harris for President.”
The claim is inaccurate. Melania was seen with Trump on election day and at the election day victory speech that Trump delivered, according to Newsweek. Melania praised her husband during an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News before the election, according to The Daily Beast.
She spoke about her husband’s passion for the country saying, “I saw how people reacted to him, and his passion for this country, and we traveled all around the world and he was making speeches at that time and I saw what the people wanted. I think the country was ready for a change, they wanted to have somebody that wasn’t in politics all the time.”
This is not the first time misinformation surrounding the election has circulated online. Check Your Fact recently debunked a claim Trump illegally wore a MAGA hat to vote.
