Verdict: False
Federal Election Commission data does not show any political donations made by Sephora for Trump.
Fact Check:
Social media users are claiming thatSephora donated to Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign. These posts usually include a video with text that reads, “Sephora BIG BIG BIG Donations!!”
One user wrote, “Well well well… 😏🫡 #christmas #christmasdecor #christmastiktok.”
The claim is false. FEC data does not list any political donations made by Sephora for Trump in 2024. There is no evidence to show Sephora donated to Trump. (RELATED: Did Sydney Sweeney Say She Voted For Donald Trump?)
The Federal Election Campaign Act prohibits corporations from making political contributions to candidates in federal elections. Corporations are, however, allowed to set up political action committees that allow employees to make voluntary contributions on behalf of the company for a candidate. There is no evidence to show Sephora operates a PAC.
A Sephora spokesperson told Check Your Fact that “[i]t has come to our attention that there is incorrect information circulating on social media regarding company donations.”
“Sephora does not make corporate donations to political candidates. Sephora’s mission is to create a welcoming beauty shopping experience for all,” the spokesperson said.
Snopes also debunked this claim. Check Your Fact has reached out to Trump’s communications team for comment.
