The video is from 2022.
Fact Check:
Singer Usher claimed on Sunday that his social media was hacked after his posts were deleted from his X account over the weekend, The New York Post reported. Most of his account appears to have been restored and the singer repsonded to speculation it was due to Comb’s recent arrest, claiming people “ran with it,” according to the outlet.
A post shared on X purportedly shows Combs singing “I’m Still Standing” after his recent arrest. The video shows Combs holding a drink in his hand as he strolls through a hallway with large artwork and sings.
Text overlaid on the video reads, “Diddy after he gets released from 50 million bond.”
The caption reads, “Bro gone stand in da jail fs.”
The claim is inaccurate. The video dates back to Nov. 2023 when after a court settlement. A report from Reuters at the time indicated that Combs reached a settlement in a suit from ex-girlfriend Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura.
Combs’ attorney requested a $50 million bail package but was denied, though his legal team does plan to appeal, according to CNN. The judge refused to release Combs based on saying he is a “danger to the community” and on the possibility he could tamper with witnesses, ABC News reported.
