Verdict: False
A close look at the officers’ vests reveal they are peace officers, not police officers. A spokesperson for the London Metropolitan Police also confirmed the men in the video were not police officers, according to Lead Stories.

Former New Jersey Republican Gov. Chris Christie promised to share the devastation he saw during a recent trip to Israel amid the country’s current conflict with Hamas, according to CNN. The X video, viewed over 60,000 times, purports to show U.K. police officers flashing the peace sign to pro-Palestine protestors during a recent demonstration. “No it can’t be, can it!!!,” the post’s caption reads.
The video does not show police officers, however. A closer look at the officers’ vests reveal the word “PEACE” appears on the back of them. A keyword search using the term “peace officers U.K.” generates a Facebook page for the group. An image posted to the “Peace Officers U.K.” page shows a man wearing a yellow reflective vest similar to those in the viral X video.
Likewise, an April 2022 video posted to the Facebook group indicates the peace officers appealed a sentence and conviction for impersonating a police officer with the intent to deceive. (RELATED: Video Claims To Show Hamas Forcibly Conscripting A Man To Fight Israel)
