Georgia low-income residents who receive assistance from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program will see their final direct payments for March in 10 days.

SNAP is sent out starting on March. 5, and it will end on March. 23 in Georgia. SNAP payments will be issued to recipients’ accounts on days depending on the last two digits of a beneficiary’s client ID. For example, beneficiary IDs ending in 90-99 will receive their benefits next Saturday.

The specific payout depends on variables such as assets, household size, and income. The maximum payment that a household of one can receive is $291, while the maximum payment for a household of five is $1,155, and $1,751 is the maximum payment for a household of eight. For each household member after eight, $219 is added.

Georgia residents can use their benefits to purchase eligible food items at participating grocery or convenience stores through an electronic benefits transfer card, which is similar to a debit card. Meat, poultry and fish products, dairy items, breads and cereals, and other eligible groceries can be purchased using SNAP. Products such as pet food, alcohol, and household items such as paper and soap can not be purchased using SNAP benefits.
