The filmmakers who brought the story of America’s most notorious abortionist to theaters are organizing a traveling exhibition of evidence photos to show in states that are considering liberalizing abortion laws.
Independent producers Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney, who made the movie Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer about Philadelphia’s Dr. Kermit Gosnell, said that they are taking their exhibit of 50 photos to cities across the country to show the horrors of abortion, especially late-term procedures.

“These are photos taken of moments in time, and they were evidence in a court of law,” McAleer said. “They are the reality of what was going on behind closed doors and what is probably going on behind other closed doors in America today. They are not political and do not take sides.”
Their exhibit is titled “EVIDENCE: Crime Scene Photos from the Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer” and includes the police work used to convict Gosnell of killing three infants after their birth and the manslaughter of one woman during an abortion. In 2013, he received a sentence of life in prison without parole.
The first show will open this weekend in Columbus, Ohio.
“It illustrates what is illegal but also shows what is legal in many states, and people would be shocked by what is now allied behind closed doors in abortion clinics in many states in America. It’s important that journalists bring these truths to the public — that’s why we want to bring this crime scene photo exhibition to towns across the nation,” McElhinney said.
McAleer told Secrets that the exhibit idea came from those that liberals use to highlight their issues, such as the climate crisis. “We decided to follow the leftist playbook — they are always having photo exhibitions about racism or climate change,” he said.
Here’s how the filmmakers described what exhibit-goers will see:
The EVIDENCE exhibition photographs tell the story of how DEA and FBI drug investigators identified Gosnell as a leading opioid supplier through writing illegal prescriptions and selling them to dealers. This led to a raid on his clinic where they discovered a serial killer operating in a filthy clinic where cats roamed freely with patients being treated and anesthetized by teenagers.
They also found filthy and broken equipment.

The photos also reveal how Gosnell was a serial killer who liked to keep trophies. Gosnell would kill adult patients but also murder babies born alive during late-term abortions. He would keep baby feet in jars and baby’s remains in containers and bags stored in freezers.
The 50 photographs tell the story of the police raid and the subsequent evidence-gathering process.
