Democratic House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is catching heat for allegedly photoshopping himself to look thinner — and not just once.
Independent Capitol Hill reporter Juliegrace Brufke flagged several allegedly doctored shots on Jeffries’ Instagram on Wednesday, calling it a “PSA for members and digital staffers to be careful while using the FaceTune app.” The latest example came Sunday, when Jeffries posted a warped photo of himself standing in front of a Brooklyn park bench that appears bent and wavy, a telltale sign of sloppy editing. The Jeffries photoshop fail does not appear to be a one off. All politics aside, I feel like this should serve as a PSA for members and digital staffers to be careful while using the FaceTune app. pic.twitter.com/MFRqtVA1g8

John Dorsey, known online as “Goob,” mocked the post, calling Jeffries a “massive clown” for thinking nobody would notice.
“Hakeem, it’s OK to be a short king — you don’t have to edit your photos to make yourself look taller,” Dorsey said in an Instagram video. “In fact, it’s more embarrassing than just being a short king.”
The string of seemingly edited photos sparked a pile-on across social media, with hundreds roasting Jeffries over what many called a laughable attempt at image control.
“I think he’s trying to make himself look taller and his shoulders broader,” White House deputy press secretary Abigail Jackson wrote on X.

“Have we considered that maybe Jeffries is dense enough to bend space-time?” another user quipped.
Jeffries’ office did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller’s request for comment. (RELATED: Hakeem Jeffries Gets Roasted Over Hilariously Bad Photoshop Fail)
