Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is now also an Emmy award-winning producer.

Clinton, along with her daughter Chelsea were producers on the documentary In Her Hands, which was the first out of their production company, HiddenLight Productions. The doc is available on Netflix after a Toronto International Film Festival premiere. It won the Emmy on Thursday at the News and Documentary Awards with both Clintons receiving their own statuettes.

In Her Hands tells the story of Zarifa Ghafari, the first female mayor in Afghanistan, detailing the 19 months before the U.S. evacuated the country along with the fall of Kabul in August 2021. As well as being the first female, Ghafari was the youngest in the country’s history when she was elected in 2018 at the age of 24.

Ghafari was a vocal opponent of former President Donald Trump and his policies concerning her country. When Trump reached a peace deal with the Taliban — without any input from the Afghan government — in February 2020, Ghafari referred to it as a sale of her country to the Taliban.
