House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN) announced Tuesday that he has created a new Joint Fundraising Committee, called Emmer Majority Builders, that will launch in 2024 and focus on raising money for 31 Republican incumbents and candidates as Republicans try to retain and expand their majority.

According to Emmer’s campaign, the venture aims to transfer $5 million to 26 incumbents, five candidates, the National Republican Congressional Committee, Emmer’s reelection campaign, Emmer’s leadership PAC, and the Congressional Leadership Fund, the super PAC closely aligned with House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), over the course of this cycle.

“We’ve worked tirelessly the last five years building this majority, and I’ve had the privilege of recruiting and helping these candidates win,” Emmer said in a statement. “Heading into 2024, we have the foundation in place, now we need to ensure our battle-tested incumbents and promising crop of candidates have the resources they need to win this coming Election Day. Emmer Majority Builders will play a critical role this cycle in electing a bigger House Republican majority.”

The 31 candidates include incumbents, such as Reps. Juan Ciscomani (R-AZ), Jen Kiggans (R-VA), Marc Molinaro (R-NY), and Mike Garcia (R-CA), and new candidates such as Joe Teirab, a Marine Corps veteran and former federal prosecutor running against Rep. Angie Craig (D-MN) in the competitive district, and Austin Theriault, a former NASCAR driver and Maine state representative, running against Rep. Jared Golden (D-ME), according to Federal Election Commission records.

The Joint Fundraising Committee can accept up to $510,300 from people and federal non-multicandidate PACs.
