Hunter Biden mocked reporting about alleged corruption around his family’s business dealings, including the label of the “Biden Crime Family.”
Biden, speaking on an episode of musician Moby’s podcast released on Friday, questioned the credibility of investigations by Republicans on the House Oversight Committee, arguing that he and his family have been in the public eye since his father, President Joe Biden, was elected to the Senate in 1972.

“Think about this, OK? My dad has been a senator since I was 2 years old. He has released decades’ worth of his tax returns. He has lived in the public life. We have lived in the public life. We’ve gone through four presidential campaigns. My entire life has been before the public,” Hunter Biden said.
“It took until — oh, lo and behold — Donald Trump figured out that somehow this is a criminal enterprise,” he said mockingly.
Hunter Biden then blasted the media for allegedly lending credibility to the investigations into himself and his family, saying how he turned on the television earlier in the day and they were discussing his plea deal and the House Oversight Committee’s investigation.
“They’re talking about, well, Hunter Biden’s plea deal and this that and the other thing, and who knows what happens with [House Oversight Committee Chairman] James Comer [R-KY], and they may find — are you kidding me? I mean, I really just, like, OK, we’re going to talk about Ukraine again, really?” he said.
The interview with the first son also featured him slamming allegedly invasive media coverage about his family, along with discussions about his prior addiction and how the GOP is “trying to destroy a presidency.”

Hunter Biden has resisted the House GOP’s demands for a deposition, instead requesting a public hearing. Reps. Comer and Jim Jordan (R-OH) have threatened him with contempt of Congress if he does not comply with the subpoena.
Hunter Biden was indicted on criminal tax charges on Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California for allegedly failing to pay taxes, failing to file taxes, and filing false returns from 2016 to 2019.
