Mismah had led Hamas terrorists into the kibbutz of Kissufim while also directing gunmen into the kibbutzim of Nirim and Be’eri as part of the Oct. 7, 2023, attacks, according to the Jerusalem Post. The Hamas leader was also significantly involved in fighting against IDF forces in Gaza following the initial terrorist attacks.
The report says that Mismah was killed in an IDF airstrike that was directed by troops on the ground.

The IDF also says it eliminated various other terrorist targets in Gaza as part of its war against Hamas in the aftermath of the Oct. 7, 2023, attacks.
The war in Gaza has been going on for nearly three months, and Israel is looking to move to a new phase of the war in which it hopes to oust Hamas terrorists. The next phase in the war would call for more targeted operations against the terrorist group, as opposed to airstrikes and other means to eliminate members of Hamas.
